A Traditional British Bank Holiday Seaside Weekend

The paddle was from Lymington to Newtown IoW.  Fourteen paddlers turned out despite the poor forecast.

Enjoying the Spring sunshine over lunch??!! Rain, wind NE 5-7, decidedly chilly.

The paddle across was too choppy for photography, but here we are regrouping on the island side. The CG put out a gale warning, the 5-7 had turned into 6-8.

Surfing into Newtown Creek.

Rob gets the barbecue going.

Waiting for the tide back in the morning.

Once again a choppy crossing, but we regrouped back on the mainland side,

for the last leg mainly downwind and with the tide to Lymington.

Great weekend, well done the instigator/organiser and trip leader.
