Wind ain't so bad!

Paddling in the wind can mean a lot of hardwork for little return (just like last sundays aborted circumnavigation of Hayling Island!).

During the latter part of 2009 the opportunities to paddle without an F5+ in your face felt few and far between. It seemed that those in need of their weekly 'paddling fix' would just have to learn to get along with the ever present cyclone.

For me the answer lay in the long rolling wind waves that surged across the shallow bays of Hillhead, Lee on Solent and Stokes Bay.

All that was needed was a strong SW (no problem there then), a relatively high tide, an area that was free of wind/kitesurfers and hey presto!...... Free adrenalin soaked fun!

What better way to spend a windswept day!

So hopefully we will get some good wind in 2010 and we can arrange a responsibly organised session or two for those that feel up for a bit of 'Wind Riding'.

YEE HAA!!
